Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Beyond Horizon (“we,” “us,” or “our”) and govern your access to and use of the Beyond Horizon website, game client, and associated services (collectively, the “Service”).
By creating an account, enlisting for access, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.
Summary: Using Beyond Horizon means you accept these rules. They cover your account, conduct, purchases, and what you can expect from us.
Eligibility & Accounts
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
Your Account
- Accurate information — you agree to provide accurate, current information and to keep it up to date.
- Security — you are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.
- One person — accounts are for individual use and may not be shared, sold, or transferred without our written permission.
- Notify us — you must tell us promptly of any unauthorized use of your account or other breach of security.
License to Use the Service
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your own non-commercial entertainment purposes.
This license does not grant you any ownership in the Service. Except as expressly permitted, you may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of any part of the Service.
Acceptable Use
We want Beyond Horizon to be fair and welcoming. You agree not to engage in any of the following while using the Service:
- Cheating — using bots, exploits, hacks, macros, or any unauthorized third-party software to gain an advantage
- Disruption — interfering with, overloading, or attempting to gain unauthorized access to our servers or networks
- Harassment — abusing, threatening, or harassing other players, or posting hateful or unlawful content
- Fraud — impersonating others, phishing, or engaging in real-money trading of accounts or virtual items outside authorized channels
- Illegal activity — using the Service for any purpose that violates applicable law
Enforcement: Violating these rules may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent termination of your account, at our discretion.
Virtual Items & Purchases
The Service may allow you to purchase virtual currency, cosmetics, ships, or other in-game items (“Virtual Items”). The following terms apply to all purchases:

| No Real Value | Virtual Items have no monetary value and cannot be redeemed for real money outside the Service. |

| Changes | We may modify, balance, or remove Virtual Items to maintain a healthy game economy. |
Payments are handled by our third-party payment providers and are subject to their terms. You are responsible for any taxes associated with your purchases.
User Content
You may create, upload, or share content through the Service, such as commander names, fleet configurations, chat messages, and forum posts (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content.
By submitting User Content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, and distribute it as needed to operate, promote, and improve the Service.
You are solely responsible for your User Content and represent that you have the rights to share it and that it does not violate these Terms or the rights of any third party.
Intellectual Property
The Service and all of its content — including game software, artwork, lore, ship designs, logos, music, and trademarks — are owned by Beyond Horizon or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws.
Nothing in these Terms transfers any of these rights to you. You may not use our names, logos, or branded assets without our prior written permission, except as permitted by our community and content guidelines.
Beta & Early Access
Parts of the Service may be offered as beta, pre-release, or early-access features. These are provided for testing and may be incomplete, unstable, or subject to change.
- No guarantees — features, content, and progress may be altered or reset at any time.
- Feedback — feedback you provide about the Service may be used by us without restriction or compensation.
- Confidentiality — you agree to respect any reasonable confidentiality requests tied to closed testing.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms, create risk or legal exposure for us, or if we discontinue the Service.
Upon termination, your license to use the Service ends and any Virtual Items associated with your account may be forfeited. Provisions that by their nature should survive — including ownership, disclaimers, and limitations of liability — will continue to apply.
Disclaimers & Liability
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Beyond Horizon and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, progress, or Virtual Items, arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.
Note: Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Beyond Horizon operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. You agree that any dispute will be resolved in the courts located in that jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Before filing a formal claim, we encourage you to contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last Updated” date. For significant changes, we will provide additional notice through the Service or via email.
Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you should stop using the Service.
